We are back from Minnesota!
Leslie, Momma and I had a great time at the Creative Connection event!
We had fun meeting the Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond and getting our books signed too!
This is Momma and Leslie at one of the luncheons.
How cute is this felted pin we made in Betz White's class?!?!
We had fun showing off our bags to Amy Butler that we made from some of her patterns.
We took off to Shakopee, MN one day to visit this amazing quilt shop named Eagle Creek. It was in an old train depot. AMAZING!
Had fun seeing Jenn in her gorgeous booth!!! It was also great to meet Jessie and I am now crazy about her!! I hope to see them both again soon!!!
Tiffany was lead photographer for the event. I love her and she may be one of the sweetest girls I know!
I got to see Lisa my friend again. She and I have made a few events together and I am hoping that she and I can get together in OKC very soon. :)
This is the reason that I came to the event..... RUTH RAE!
Camille Roskelly taught a class making simple quilts. It was awesome to walk away from a class with an almost finished quilt.
I will link to everyone later. I have a flood in my bedroom and men working on cleaning it all up! growl! We are having to file an insurance claim that it is so bad!! That was lovely to come home to!
Looks like you had so much fun! I wish I could have been there. I miss not seeing you and everyone else. Love ya, Sylvia
ReplyDeleteWow! A quilt top? Dang, you guys weren't playing! How crazy is that in 4 months you brushed up your sewing skills and busted out some bags to show Amy Butler, you workhorse, you!
ReplyDeleteHow Fun!! The quilt is beautiful! You made that all in one class?! Looks like such a great event....
ReplyDeleteI will have to go next year and give my professors a heads up one year in advance lol! What fun and beautiful photos of you and all the fab women! xoxo Molly

Is it possible to still do the swap? I feel horrible. Let me know what I should do. Thanks so much Shelley. You can e-mail me at janetspillows@yahoo.com. And no need to post this comment..lol
Have a good night.

I've been waiting to see some great pictures from the event in Minnesota, and thanks to you I've seen my first batch. It looks like you met some of my idols of the blog and craft world....how inspiring! I love the little nest pin. Oh, by the way, I spent all weekend cleaning up our basement which got some water after the intense rain, then yesterday I had an emergency root canal. The joys of life!!!
ReplyDeleteOh thanks so much for sharing all the great pictures. You're adorable! Looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Holly
Oh Shelly I didn't know you were going to Creative Connection!!!!!!!! YEAH for YOU!!! I would have loved to have gone. MAYBE next year! We just have to hook up to do some of these events. Why don't you plan to go out to California with me in March! We could have serious fun. Can't wait to hear more about you meeting Ruth. Loved all the goodies you showed. I want to learn to needle felt. Is it hard? And those bags are 2die4! We MUST get together soon. Hubby sees the doc tomorrow. Hope he releases him to drive. Then maybe I can get a bit more of MY LIFE back. Oh & that Jessi is a doll. She'll be at Gilded Life in October & I can't wait to see her again. HUGS!

Jenn, Jessi and Tiffany are all awesome, love those girls!!!
xo
Shelley,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry about the flooding. What a drag to come home to!
The week sounds wonderful...and it was in my home town. Three major art events and I am in Croatia for my exchange student son's wedding. Oh, well, I cannot complain! This looks like it was a major major even, though. I didn't realize the vendors were working for three and a half days. Sounds like a lot of work but the books look wonderful. Jenn's looks like a fairy garden!
So glad you had a good time and hope you liked the Twin Cities.
Hugs,
Suz
