I bought this box at a local antique store in OKC. I thought it would be great to put all my little things that are cluttering up my drawers. It has names on it and words like judge, clerk, jury so I figure it is from some court house. What do you think all those little boxes were used for? If you know, please let me know. My friends, family and I cannot figure it out!
I love it and think it is super cool.
Thought I would put a shot in of my Juliet so everyone can see how she is settling in:)
I also cleaned up my studio area (a little) so thought I would throw it in too!
Can't wait to see friends tonight at class making our art journals with Jackie!
Happy Birthday to my baby Maranda! Big "5" today!! Love you baby girl:) She took this pic one day when she stole my camera and took pictures of random things including herself!! Little toot!
WELL THANKS A LOT! All because of YOU, I go and break the Commandment about not coveting your neighbor's things!
ReplyDelete'Scuze me while I go say a few Hail Mary's.
Jill
Shelley- I love your new judge tray! What a great way to keep all your little goodies organized. Your room looks very cozy and cleaned up.
ReplyDeleteSee you tonight!
Great find, of course I am envying it. Happy birthday to Maranda and the big oh-five! Looks like you are already having a great summer.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your comments on my blog and decided to come here for a quick visit. I HAD to study each photo, read each word and I feel like I found my best friend. I ADORE your blog, the things you do and I just LOVE you. I'm coveting the box with so many nooks, but I REALLY am coveting your treasures in it. I LOVE the freestyle stitchery you did and now can't wait to finish mine. I LOVE the beautiful flowers you made, so beautiful. Thanx for visiting me and I hope you won't feel I'm a freaky stalker when I come to see you everyday. Kelli
ReplyDeleteThe tray is fantastic. I wonder what it was used for exactly too. Thanks for sharing all the great pictures! Happy birthday sweet Maranda!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking it is a courthouse mail room rubber stamp organizer!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Maranda!
Oh Jamie I bet you are right! It is all "inkie" looking.
ReplyDeleteHey Shelley,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your words of wisdom on my blog. Sometimes, I start to wonder if I go off the deep-end collecting all this neat old stuff. If you'd ever like to swap, just let me know!
Smiles,
Jill
Happy Birthday Little One! woooo hoooo!
ReplyDeleteShelley, your creative space is simply beautiful...can I come play? I would totally love to have all that cabinet space! Love it!
Your little cutie is so funny. Happy Birthday to her! LOVE the photo of your studio. I saw the photo of you at PC & it looks like everyone had fun with Jackie. I can't wait to meet her. LOVE your studio. MINE NEEDS CLEANING UP SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD! Thanks for the sweet comments on my new boots & the Art Event in California. I wish you were going with me. Charlene
ReplyDeleteHi Shelley,
ReplyDeleteThe box is a printers tray. Back in the day, printers would keep the rubber images that they used to print newspapers with in trays like these. At least that's what it looks like to me.
In any case, it is absolutely awesome to keep things organized in. Great buy.
I'm glad you liked my Mermaid Crown!
Happy weekend. xo Cathy
Oops...I think I entered my comment on a different post but I was wonderful if the boxes were for specialized rubber name stamps...?
